Nara Field Recorder is a free, full-featured app for recording audio and taking photos during field inspections (e.g., construction, real estate, security, or equipment monitoring). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we handle it, and your choices. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the content you create:

• Recordings and Photos: Audio narrations and photos you capture in the app. These stay on your device until you choose to upload them.
• Upload Process: When you tap to upload, the files are sent to our secure server (operated by the developer) for delivery to your designated project manager.

We collect no personal information:

• No name, email, location, contacts, or identifiers.
• No cookies, trackers, or third-party analytics.

We may collect anonymous device data (e.g., app version, OS type) to fix bugs and improve performance. This is not linked to you or your content.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Recordings/Photos: Used solely to transfer your files to the project manager when you upload them.
• Device Data: Used only for app stability and updates.
• No Other Uses: We do not use your data for ads, marketing, or any unrelated purpose.

3. Ownership and Control

• Before Upload: Files stay on your device. You own and control them completely.
• After Upload: Files are delivered to the project manager. Ownership and further use are governed by your agreement with them. We (the developer) no longer retain or access the files unless required for service delivery.

4. Sharing Your Information

• With Project Managers: Files are shared only when you initiate upload.
• No Third Parties: We do not sell, rent, or share your files with anyone else.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law (e.g., court order) or to protect safety/rights.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security to protect files during transfer and on our server.

6. Data Retention

Uploaded files are retained on our server only as long as needed to deliver them to the project manager. Retention beyond delivery is managed solely by the project manager.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Any such data will be deleted immediately.

8. Your Rights

• Before Upload: Delete or manage files directly on your device.
• After Upload: Contact your project manager for access, deletion, or other requests.
• EU/UK Users: You may have rights under GDPR (e.g., access, deletion), subject to the project manager's ownership. Contact us to forward requests.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted in the app with the new effective date. Continued use means acceptance.
